West Georgia Medical Center operates the Georgia Heart Clinic as its Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. Cardiology services offered through the Georgia Heart Clinic include cardiac catheterization, echocardiograms, pacemaker implants, peripheral angiograms, peripheral angioplasties, holter monitors, event monitors, venous duplex studies, carotid duplex studies and thallium nuclear studies. In addition, the Georgia Heart Clinic offers cardiac rehabilitation services to assist people on their road to recovery from heart attacks and heart surgery.
