Billing and Commercial Insurance Information
West Georgia Health System accepts
all indemnity commercial insurance plans. As a courtesy, West Georgia Health
System will bill your insurance company for you. Any
charges not paid by your medical insurance are due at the
time of discharge. Examples of these charges might
include insurance deductibles, co-payments, the difference
between a private and semi-private room or lab fees. You
will receive notification that your insurance has been
billed. After your insurance company has processed
the payment, we will send you a bill showing the balance
due. In addition to your hospital bill, you may receive
separate bills from your attending physician, radiologists,
pathologists, anesthesiologists, or any members of the
medical staff who have provided you with special services. These
charges are not handled by the hospital. Questions
related to these charges should be referred to the physician
or outside service organization.
