Volunteering
at West Georgia Hospice
Volunteer
assistance is vital to the success of West Georgia Hospice. Comprising
an integral part of the hospice team, our volunteers are not counselors
for the dying; they are listeners. With honesty and sensitivity,
they meet the patient on his/her own ground. In return,
our volunteers receive an increased self-knowledge, as well an
awareness of the needs of others regarding death and dying.
Most importantly, they earn the personal satisfaction of helping
patients and families through crises.
